The ‘music’ behind the Djs:
Dj 69 - Julien
Renowned social dancer and truly passionate for music, Julien has been playing in the main Parisian parties for the last 7 years.
Since August 2014 he is the resident DJ of ‘Agua’ the salsa party by Leon Rose and Noémie Millon. He's known as DJ69 and likes to play very colourful music with a lot of variations and musicality. A music for dancers!
Jeff Tarpinian
Coming from an Armenian/Brasilian background and brought up in London, Jeff learned to appreciate a wide variety of good music from an early age. Dancing Salsa LA and NY style, On1 and On2, Bachata, Cha cha etc.. for more than 14 years – Jeff has already travelled the world, teaching and dancing in over 90 worldwide congresses. As a choreographer, DJ and Salsa instructor, Jeff enjoys every aspect of dancing, from encouraging the novice to working with the advanced, always inspiring the best out of everyone. His company Incognito Dance, runs regular Latin dance nights in London catering for over 400 dancers each week. Also due to his excellent taste in Latin music, Jeff is highly regarded one the best UK Latin DJ’s, and was awarded “UK’s Best Latin DJ” award 2010
Erick ‘the Saint’
Born in the Dominican Republic, Erick Lopez aka DJ Erick ‘the Saint” grew up enthused in Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, becoming passionate about music from the start, collecting records since his early teens. He started DJ-ing initially in house parties locally and rapidly moved into bars and big events across the Dominican Republic.
When he moved to the UK in 2001 he brought his passion along and immediately took on the London Salsa scene, Dj-ing in popular central latin events and becoming a favourite resident DJ; a privilege he is honoured to maintain today for many UK events (Salsa on Sundays, El Grande, Salsateca, Ola Latina and many more).
Erick has over 17 years Dj-ing under his belt, travelling across the UK and Europe, playing in well-established venues and festivals as well as over two decades of collecting music.
In the last 4 years he has also moved into hosting his own salsa and latin urban nights. He is the soul and founder of the popular London party ‘I like it like that, salsa dura on vinyl’ inviting world-renowned Djs from around the world to spin the best salsa on vinyl, as well as SUGAR which follows the legacy of I Like it like that but with the added treat of bachata.
