The music behind the DJ:

Dj Nuno Melo

Nuno discovered Latin-american music in 1996 and started as Salsa DJ in 1999. Soon after he started to organize regular Salsa parties. Since 2001, he collaborated as a DJ in all salsa Clubs/bars in Portugal: Barrio Latino (Lisboa), Havana Docas (Lisboa), Top Floor (lisboa), Muxima (Porto), Broadway (Coimbra), El Sonero (Porto), the Blues Café, Kapital, Docs, Coconuts, Bar do Guincho. Since 2001, Nuno is the official DJ and one of the organizers of the oldest Salsa party in Portugal, and most probably in Europe, Festa Salsaviva in Almada/Lisbon. His passion and dedication to the mambo and old school Salsa continued to grow until today.

He has participated as a DJ in the most relevant Salsa events in Portugal and in many international events:

Porto Salsa Weekend, Porto (Oct 2022), Setubailas Festival, Troia, Portuga (Mar 2022), Istambul Social Dance Marathon, Istambul, Turkey (Jan 2020), Irish Salsa Congress, Maynooth, Ireland (June 2019), Palladium Valencia, Spain (April 2019), plus numerous others, spanning back to 2001.

During the last 24 years of deejaying, Nuno shared the DJ cabin with many fellow salsa DJs around the world as Pablo Bat (Arg), Henry Knowles (USA), Gabriel (Fra), Pepe Bassan (Ita), Loic (Fra), Mulato (Fra), Dmitri (Ger), Patrick el Clasico (Switz), Cycy (Fra), Martinelli (Spa), El Malo (Switz), Tuli Mar (Uk), Serge (Fra), Rupert (Uk) and many others.
